An apex locator is an electronic device used in endodontics to determine the length of the root canal space.

Doesn’t damage the tooth enamel like other scalers. Scalers are dental instruments used primarily in the prophylactic and periodontal care of human teeth like removal of extrinsic teeth stains.

Benefit to the patient: Like any other conventional ultrasonic scalers, the prophy-jet scaler doesn’t damage the tooth enamel. It only removes the extrinsic stains over the teeth.

U.V. ray penetrates direct into bacteria and raises various kind of biochemical reaction itself then bacteria die out or fall into a function disorder.

Benefit to the patient: It is extensively used to destroy bacteria, virus, mould spores etc. Patients are assured of 100% sterile instrument. Generally, it is used to store or maintain the sterilized instruments in the clinic till there next use.

Method of flash sterilization, wherein instruments are exposed to high intensity UV rays.

Benefit to the patient: In the event of fall of some instruments from surgeons or assistant’s hand during the procedure, the instrument can be sterilized in about few seconds just by exposing them to the UV rays and team can continue working instead of waiting till the instrument get sterilized in a conventional methods

A fast, low-dose digitized imaging system using a small intraoral probe as opposed to X-ray film, an intensifying screen, and a charge-coupled device.

Benefit to the patient:It presents the possibility of reduced patient exposure and minimal deformity, because resolution and latitude are lower than standard dental X-ray. A receiver is placed in the mouth, that conduct signals to a computer the signals of these images on screen or printed. It includes digitizing X-ray film or any other detector.

X-rays use radiation to take pictures of bones and other parts inside the body. An OPG is a panoramic X-ray of the upper and lower jaws, including the teeth. The OPG unit is specifically designed to rotate around the patient’s head during the scan. An OPG will take approximately 20 seconds.

Benefit to the patient: Painless, fast and easy. No radiation is left in patient’s body after the OPG is finished.
